Having partnered with Habitat for Humanity to donate a home in Phase 1 of its Victoria! In Mount Albert site, Beaverbrook will continue this tradition with the donation of another home in Phase 2 of this one-of-a-kind community in fall 2007.Founded in 1985, Habitat for Humanity consists of 30,000 volunteers and 70 affiliates from coast to coast. On an international level, this non-profit, faith-based organization spans 100 countries, has built over 200,000 homes, and is now building a new home every 24 minutes. "This is an amazing organization," says Vice-President of Beaverbrook Homes, Anthony Lanni. "Through the generous donations of supporters and volunteers, Habitat for Humanity is helping make a difference in the lives of families, and to date, have built more than 1,000 homes in Canada." |
